Role Overview:
As Head of Business Development & Partnerships for Spain, you’ll lead Simpler’s expansion in this important market. Your mission will be to drive growth through strategic partnerships, acquire new merchants, and ensure that Simpler’s product aligns with the specific needs of the Spanish market. This is a senior role that requires both business development expertise and the ability to foster relationships with key industry players to accelerate our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Market Growth: Lead merchant acquisition efforts, ensuring they fully leverage Simpler’s platform to enhance checkout processes and increase conversions.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and manage partnerships with various players - tech platforms, logistics providers, payment services, and others - to scale Simpler’s presence in Spain.
  • Product Localisation: Work with the product team to ensure Simpler’s platform fits the local market, considering payment methods, shipping options, and regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to execute a go-to-market strategy and drive brand awareness and adoption.
  • Industry Networking: Leverage your network to open new business opportunities and position Simpler as the leading checkout solution in Spain.

What Will You Do?

  • Identify and build relationships with key partners in Spain to drive market growth.
  • Work closely with merchants to demonstrate how Simpler can boost their conversions and improve their checkout processes.
  • Provide key insights on market trends and consumer behaviour in Spain to inform strategic decisions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong experience in business development, partnerships, or market expansion, ideally within e-commerce, fintech, or related fields.
  • A robust network within the Spanish market, particularly with e-commerce and tech players.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
